How-to med Designfragment

Jag nämnde tidigare att jag hade en idé om en kudde jag ville sy, och häromdagen när jag besökte IKEA sprang jag på detta tyget, som passade alldeles utmärkt.



Jag mätte min tilltänkta innerkudde och klippte ut åtta stycken tringlar, fyra för framsidan och fyra för baksidan.



För att få mönsterpassningen exakt är det viktigt att nåla ihop delarna som ska sys ihop korrekt.
Efter att delarna var ihopsydda, strök jag försiktigt ut flikarna för att få allt så platt som möjligt.



När jag vände på tygbiten hade jag lyckats med mönsterpassningen, inte dåligt för en nybörjare vid symaskinen må jag säga! Till sist : En dragkedja syddes fast vid ena sidans öppning.




Sluresultatet blev - helt utan ödmjukhet- precis som jag hade tänkt mig!

I mentioned earlier that I had an idea of a pillow-case I wanted to make, and just the other day I ran into this fabric, that suited my idea perfectly. I cut the fabric into eight equally sized tringles and placed the tringles so that they were on top of each other and so that the brighter side of each square faced the other square’s brighter side. Then I just sewed them together, making two square sides that I later continued sewing together as a regular pillow-case. The matching up of the lines was a bit tricky, but for a beginner I think I did pretty well with the task!
I attached a zipper and the result really is exactly as I had imagined!
